How do fertility experts perform ICSI treatment in Nepal & why is it required?
ICSI in Nepal is a procedure in which fertility experts extract a male member's sperm surgically by using two techniques, i.e., (i) Testicular sperm aspiration (TESA) and (ii) percutaneous epididymal sperm aspiration (PESA). If experts are still unable to retrieve enough sperm, then they use the most advanced technology, Testicular sperm extraction (TESE). After enough sperm get extracted, the fertility expert first performs an IVF procedure in which they collect the woman's egg from her ovaries and combine them with the male member's retrieved sperm to facilitate fertilization. During the fertilization process, the experts monitor the growth & development of the eggs. Once the eggs get developed, the fertility expert chooses the most active sperm & directly injects it into each egg to aid the fertilization.
